This page is intended to provide the boat builder & electric propulsion system supplier a one-stop shop offering for marine installation & integration components. The page will evolve to contain the products and services to best help enable pragmatic battery electric vehice and hybrid ICE/EV marine application.
We can provide componentry & necessary adaptions to couple the electric vehicle systems (Battery, Inverter and Motor assembly) into a marine environment or vessel. This based from our 50 years of knowledge & knowhow with marine conversions from automotive applications.
High voltage electrical systems contain inherent risks. Application requires specialist knowledge, training and accreditation before considering interaction within these systems. We do not provide engineering recomendation or advise with respect to the suitability for high voltage electrical system application with a Marine Environment. Specialist high voltage knowledge should always be sought.
If Cooling system requirements are known we can provide an indirect cooling solution based on available heat exchangers and pumps. Our solution is based on 12/24V electrical pump for raw/sea water and a separate circulation pump for the cooling medium (Glycol/Water) for the EV System components (Inverter, Battery and E-Motor). Heat transfer perfoirmance may be predicted for based on supplied information.
We can provide a performance prediction for speed & efficiency based from supplied attributes, including waterline length [ft or m], mass [lbs or kg] & shape and knowledge of known or desired propulsion system attributes of motor power [kW] & output shaft speed [rpm]. Additional application attributes such as gearbox reduction ratio, drive type (inc Sterndrive, Surface drive) may be included for the speed and propeller prediction.

Indicated performance of Bowman titanium heat exchangers is given using 50/50 water/glycol coolant, with 40°C coolant outlet temperature and 30°C seawater inlet temperature. |
Heat exchangers with aluminium body, titanium tubes, composite end covers and EPDM seals suitable for cooling electric and hybrid propulsion systems and equipment. |

Larger size heat exchangers are also available for systems that require greater heat

POWER TRANSMISSION
We can provide the interface between the E-Motor and Propeller including custom driveplates if required to match E-Motor.
Flexiable Couplings, dampers to isolate each drivetrain component can be specified to meet typical marine requirements. Sterngear can be specified to meet power tranmission requirments.
Our machine shop is fully equiped to provide prototype machining and tooling services. In addition our workshop can provide mechanical assembly build and adaption as rquired. Rates are either per job or charged out per hour.
Hard to obtain items can be sourced from industry partners and suppliers. We have transformed project ideas into reality using pragmatic knowledge and knowhow based from years of experience operating within harsh conditions.
We are able to caculate boat hull performance using our PROP Prediction tool. We can establish best propeller (Page-47) options and check for efficiency, overload and cavitation risk.
